About Us

We began commercially marketing our own soaps in October 1996. Nancy and Duane had been purchasing soap from "The Soap Lady" after reading an article in Country Magazine. When the company that Nancy worked for decided to leave the area, we chose to stay where Duane was already working.

Duane suggested that Nancy and her Mom, Jo Ann, consider making their own soaps for personal use with the goal to eventually offer them at craft shows. After much research, a lot of trial and error, they found a recipe that they liked and thus Nature's Best Soaps became reality. We haven't had to buy soap from the store since that time.

Nancy's mom, Jo Ann, passed away in February of 2005. She is missed so very much by her family. The business continues with Nancy and Duane and occassional help from grandson Jaedan who at age 5 has become a great Spud Soap Sack stuffer!

Nancy says the best thing about this job is that she can get up in the morning, have her cup of coffee, put on her slippers and she's ready to go to work!
